Vyne Dental vs Intake.Dental (2026): Clearinghouse vs One AI Platform
Disclosure: ai.dentist is published by the team behind Intake.Dental. Everything we say about Vyne comes from Vyne’s own pages or published trade press, checked on October 15, 2026, and linked below.
The short version
Vyne Dental is a claims clearinghouse that grew outward. Its roots are FastAttach and electronic claims, and Vyne Trellis now adds eligibility, e-forms, scheduling, patient messaging and payments around that core (Vyne Trellis).
Intake.Dental is one AI platform for the whole office, starting from the phones: an AI receptionist, forms, insurance verification, AI clinical notes, voice perio charting, claims, payments and recall, on top of your existing PMS.
If your problem is claims and attachments, Vyne is built for exactly that. If your problem is that the front desk is drowning — phones, paperwork, insurance and follow-up all at once — that’s the job one platform does.

Where Vyne is stronger
- Attachments and clearinghouse depth. FastAttach has been doing dental attachments for a long time, and Vyne runs payer clearinghouse services too (payers). If your biggest leak is claims rejected for missing attachments, that heritage matters.
- Mailed statements and pay-over-time are built in.
- Eligibility API for practices or groups building their own tooling, from its Onederful acquisition (API).
Where one platform is stronger
- The phone. Most new-patient revenue starts with a call. Vyne doesn’t answer it; our AI receptionist does, and books straight into your schedule.
- Clinical work. Notes and perio charting are part of the same platform, so the visit, the note and the claim come from one record.
- Fewer vendors. One system and one BAA instead of a clearinghouse plus a phone system plus a notes tool.
One thing Dentrix practices should know
In September 2025 Vyne sued Henry Schein One, alleging a Dentrix update disables Trellis, and Henry Schein One countersued days later (DrBicuspid). We found no ruling or settlement as of October 2026. If you run Dentrix, ask Vyne in writing what currently works.
